About GVSD
Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic school division located in the heartland of Manitoba’s beautiful Pembina Valley Region. The division has a student population of about 4,300 and we have 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland and Blumengart.
The division’s largest centre, the City of Winkler, has all the amenities of a larger city within a rural setting. The community is just over a one-hour drive to Winnipeg, and fifteen minutes north of the United States border (Winkler/Walhalla crossing).
Our dedicated staff offers an extensive range of high-quality programs and services. Students are invited to learn, grow, and discover what it means to be part of a diverse community that supports a sense of belonging. Our region is one of the fastest growing areas in Manitoba as we continue to welcome new arrivals from all over the world!
