Parents and Guardians
Our school division utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages, emails, and phone messages. Messages may include important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more.
For text message notifications, when your student's school adds your mobile number to our system, you'll receive a text message asking you to opt in to this service. If you'd like to continue to receive text message notifications from GVSD, opt in by replying with Y or Yes as per the instructions in the text message that you received. Opting in ensures that you will continue to receive any text message notifications that are sent to you.
If you can't find the initial text message you were sent, you can opt in by sending a text message of Y or Yes to our school’s short code number: 978338. (*note, your number must be on file with your student's school before opting in.)
You can also opt out of these messages at any time by replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
