Parent Advisory Councils

Parent advisory councils play an important partnership role in the work of a school division. Through communication with parents and community members, parent advisory councils can represent the priorities and concerns of the community, and advise principals regarding school policies, activities and organization. Parent advisory councils may also be involved in the development of new curricula, as well as the implementation of various policies affecting student life.

To find out more about the role and work of parent advisory councils in GVSD, parents and community members can contact their local school for more information.
