The Garden Valley School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Garret Brook to the position of Vice-Principal of Pine Ridge Elementary School effective September 2023.
He has served as Vice-Principal of Pine Ridge on an interim basis since 2021. Mr. Brook has experience as a Classroom Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, Resource Teacher and Vice Principal and has worked for Western School Division and Garden Valley School Division since 2014. Mr. Brook holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (Educational Administration) from the University of Manitoba and has earned a School Leadership Certificate (Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning).
Mr. Brook believes in the importance of instilling in students a love of learning with the aim of helping them become independent lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
